3.1 - Why do you wish to join the San Andreas State Police? (Minimum of 300 words):
Hello, my name is Lydia Emmerson, and I would like to start off by sharing a couple of words of appreciation towards not only the San Andreas State Police, but to all of the Law Enforcement Agencies out there. I would like to thank each and every one of you for your service! May those who were killed in action, rest in peace.
My love for the Law Enforcement started in my youth, when my mother would leave me all alone at home, and I would have nothing better to do other than to watch cop shows. Little did I know that those cop shows that I watched, later became an obsession. I remember one day, it was a friday, I could never forget that, as I finshed watching the last episode of the show that I was binge watching at that time, I started doing pushups, since that day, not one has passed without me training for my dream. Unfortunately for me, the dream I had did not prosper due to lack of motivation, and discouragment from my family and friends.
You may think.. What happened to that motivation I had when I started training? Well...Everyone had that moment in life, when motivation suddenly hits you, but you will quit eventually. The reason I had to quit training, besides losing my motivation, was because my mother got diagnosed with cancer, so I had to get a job. Fast forward a couple of years, me and my sick and single mother could not afford rent, food, medicine, and all of that essentials with a single salary of a fast food worker, so, we got kicked out. We decided to move out in Red County, me and my family originally being from Los Santos, and now we're back to the present.
I joined the Traffic Support Unit as a start of my career, I got really surprised when I saw applications for the academy were open, because I was planning to gather some experience before hand, but I ended up applying for the academy after my first day as a TSO! Now, why do I wish to join? It's not a question to think about for too long, not hard to answer as well. I believe I am a great candidee for the academy, as the motivation I have right now is stronger than ever. I look forward to serving, and fullfill my duties as a State Trooper! My hard work and perserverence will absolutely speak for itself. I have a strong aspiration to contribute to the safety of the community, work hard for the citizens, the friends I have made along the way, and help those in need! I believe joining the State Police has a strong impact on the freshly graduates of the academy, as maturity comes knocking at your door, and a great sense of responsability comes after it.
