| Section 3 - Statement
Provide a statement highlighting the reason behind following a career within the law enforcement position, consider what caught your eye to this department and position and why you should be accepted within our department. Explain your reasoning behind being a better candidate than other applicants and with the statement below it.
3.1 - Why do you wish to join the San Andreas State Police? (Minimum of 300 words):
Well, first and foremost, the salary. The salary plays a big role in all lines of work, and from what I have heard the SASP offers a decent salary, and to be honest? I am not impressed with the current salary I am receiving since I can't financially provide for myself or my family. I believe that for the skills I possess, I should be paid better and I believe that the SASP can recognize the very particular set of skills I have and make that happen. It has been a dream of mine to become an officer of the law and serve my country. I want to help make the community of Red County safer and more secure which is a common goal amongst most LEO's. I want to help people make better life choices, I want to be the person they call when they need help. And to be frank, I can't picture myself as a CO in the upcoming decade. I believe that I would do ten times better out on the field.
I truly would like to continue my service in Law Enforcement here in the SASP and I feel that I would be a great addition to the team. During all these years as a CO, I've gained useful experience and skills and I am confident that my experience and dedication to excellence makes me a suitable candidate for a transfer.
I am physically active and intellectually tough, and I have a tough but firm approach to policing. I am familiar with police procedures and protocols and have the necessary skills to effectively and competently do the job. Law Enforcement is something I am passionate about and I believe that a life of service is very fulfilling and is something I have been extremely honored to do thus far. I am well organized and always try to remain professional. I am mature and willing to help the society, I am willing to do my best whether if individually or in a team, doing whatever the job requires from me to handle. I am careful and well-disciplined and understand and respect the command structure and most importantly I am prepared to face the challenges that come with being an officer of the law.
In conclusion, I am truly excited about the prospect of joining the SASP and providing my skills, dedication and passion to the department's mission.
The SASP seems to be doing such an amazing job, I believe I can do the same, and given the chance, I can prove it.
