3.1 - Why do you wish to join the San Andreas State Police? (Minimum of 300 words):

My name is David Turner, one of the main reasons I want to become a police officer within the San Andreas State Police is because I aspire for positive change within our community.
Ever since I was a kid I have always had a dream that one day I could become a police officer and serve our community, I put that dream aside when I decided to study law at Westchester community college, but after 2 years I realized that I want to actually be on the streets, I want to do some positive impact right now.

I have always had deep respect for our first responders and I'm drawn to the role of police work as it directly contributes to the well being of the community by ensuring safety, trust and maintaining order.
I believe that my legal knowledge I acquired during my years of education would be a great advantage within the role as police officer, as I would be able to use that knowledge within the role as police officer.

As a person I can handle stressful situations effectively, through some previous life experiences and even some professional challenges I have developed a calm conduct under pressure. I think that this could be advantageous as a personal skillset, as the environment within the law enforcement is known for being fast paced with quick decision making.

I have a full understanding of the challenges and huge responsibility that comes with being a police officer, but I'm fully prepared to meet these expectations as the role of being a police officer. My commitment to sustained learning in combination with remaining calm under stressful situations, as well as working well in teams positions me as a reliable team member within the San Andreas State Police.

It would be an honor to serve.
